THE NIGHTRIDERS
Hailing From Boston, the Nightriders are Matt Johnson (Emjae), and Joe Faria (Island 9).
In 2004 these two decided to draw on their past influences and join forces to explore the world of disco. The first tune they produced, Saxual Healing caught the attention of DJ great Roger Sanchez and was charted worldwide. It was shortly after that powerhouse indie labels Reversible Records and Inuendo Records became interested in the future filtered funk which is the Nightriders.
Soon their music was featured on Steve Porter's Porterhouse & Astro & Glyde Present Dirty Dirty House Vol. 2. Currently, the Nightriders joined Shlomi Aber's Startling Beats, and Jack Trash's Aphrodisio labels for massive releases this summer. When the night is through you'll find nothing short of warped disco loops, driving bass lines and searing leads when the needle drops on a Nightriders record.
